About Us

The Vedanta Society of Tucson, established in 2010 at the request of the late Revered Swami Swahananda, is comprised of devotees dedicated to the practice of sadhana as taught in the tradition of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa. The Society is a satellite center of the Vedanta Society of Southern California and is under the guidance of Revered Swami Sarvadevananda, a senior monk of the Ramakrishna Order of India and minister of the Vedanta Society of Southern California. Swami Sarvadevananda is a disciple of Swami Shankarananda, the seventh president of the Ramakrishna Order.

Swami Sarvadevananda visits Tucson approximately every other month for satsang. In addition, the Society meets regularly for classes and meditation. All our programs are without charge.

on august 31st, 2024 the society celebrated Sri Krishna's birthday. Asimaa performed worship and devotees enjoyed satsang.

On march 16th, 2024 the society celebrated Sri Ramakrishna's birthday. asimaa performed worship and devotees enjoyed satsang.

On December 28th, 2023 the society celebrated Sri Sarada Devi's birthday. Swami Sarvadevananda performed worship and devotees enjoyed satsang.

On october 21st, 2023 the society celebrated durga puja. asimaa performed the worship.

on september 18th, 2023, the devotees enjoyed satsang with swami sarvapriyananda, the head minister of the vedanta society of New york.

on december 18, 2021 the society celebrated sri sarada devi's birthday. asimaa performed the worship.

On march 5th, 2020, the birthday of Sri Ramakrishna was celebrated. Swami Sarvadevananda performed the worship and spoke on Sri Ramakrishna.

On February 7th and 8th, 2020, the devotees enjoyed satsang with Swami Yogatmananda, the head minister of Rhode Island.
